Witness Fee Requirements

Under California Government Code § 68093, a witness subpoenaed for personal attendance is entitled to $35.00 per day plus $0.20 per mile actually traveled, both ways. For business-records-only subpoenas under California Evidence Code § 1563(b)(6), the statutory custodian fee tendered at service is $15.00.
