Kern County Process Servers is committed to protecting the confidentiality of our clients, law firms, corporate legal departments, and pro se litigants alongside their legal filings. Case details, uploaded PDF pleadings, and contact information submitted through our dispatch portal are used solely to perform, coordinate, and document legal service of process in accordance with the California Code of Civil Procedure.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to fulfill your service order and prepare Judicial Council Proofs of Service (such as Form POS-010):

• Client & Counsel Details: Attorney name, State Bar number (where applicable for court captioning), law firm name, return email address, and telephone number for dispatch updates.
• Case & Pleading Data: Issuing Superior Court or federal district court venue, case caption, docket/index number, statutory hearing or trial dates, and uploaded PDF court documents (summonses, complaints, subpoenas, unlawful detainer notices, and judicial orders).
• Recipient & Location Information: Named defendants, witnesses, or corporate registered agents, physical service addresses, workplace schedules, and supplemental skip-tracing identifiers provided by instructing counsel.
• Billing Information: Payment and billing address details submitted via our order form to process flat-rate service fees.

Case Confidentiality & Limited Disclosure

All case materials—including the identity of litigants, nature of the civil proceeding, and documents submitted for service—are held in strict confidence. Uploaded pleadings and service instructions are disclosed only to assigned field personnel as required to effect legal delivery under CCP §§ 415.10–416.90 and to execute court-ready Proofs of Service or Declarations of Due Diligence. We do not sell, rent, or market client lists or litigant information to third parties.

Data Security & Statutory Recordkeeping

Electronic documents and order records are used only to process and complete your order. Service logs and proof-of-service records are retained in accordance with California statutory recordkeeping standards under the California Code of Civil Procedure and Business and Professions Code § 22350 et seq.
